Oh and since it's happening on both SP1 and pre-SP1, I think it was probably the effect of a recent patch. We've been running it since day 1 and it's only just begun to happen.

Data transfer between hard drives seems to have gotten smoother. Sometimes it would hang for a bit pre sp1.

Interesting. I've been meaning to load it on some PCs at work, but just haven't been that interested.

I have to admit, I lost most of the enthusiasm I had for Vista way back when they dumped WinFS. =\

Has anyone noticed a speed decrease after installing this service pack?

Did anyone mention that Vista x64 has far better support than XP64 has?

There's quite a few guys here who run Vista 64 and word is that it's da shizzle.

XP 64 support is pretty much non-existent.

My point it that if you want 64 bit than Vista x64 is where its at. Games such as Valve's Source engine-games now supports it. That and the increase memory support and hardware memory address ranges.

Vista X64 runs smoother and is more stabler than even Vista 32 also.

I have not yet ran into a piece of software that does not run because I'm running Vista x64 so far.

IMHO XP 64-bit and Vista 32-bit shouldn't exist.
