Yeah that's the way I look at it. It's an Elite, but it didn't have the extra heatsink or anything. We're waiting on my son's third one. I had the warranty from Best Buy for his, but they stopped taking them in at the store. You have to send it in and they send you a gift card. That pissed me off because being able to walk in the store and leave with a new one off the shelf was the only reason I got their warranty.

Anyway, looks like I'll get it back right about the time everyone here will be bored with GTA4.

This was MS's biggest fuck up, they made the console spout cavrious red rings depending on which error the console gets. Remember the console red rings even if there is no cable in. Unfortunatly, a lot of people send them back thinking its dead, rather than using common sense and checking everything...
naw checked the cables, only does it when playing gta4 too

all good htough, he knew about the red rings when he bought it so he took out the 5 yr cover, its in the shop now and just waiting to see what they say.

hes pretty pissed but still, could be worse :)

Fucking pentecost got in between me and my xbox being delivered.
Made me go outside and actually enjoy this nice spell of weather we're having >:(

I'm already paranoid about it being delivered while I'm at work and they drop it off at the neighbors'.
"Package, Plan B? No, we didn't receive a package for you?" (sounds of shooting, poor car handling and feathered rat collection in the background.)

Did you even get to the point in the story where you are given the option?

Nope, not yet. I haven't had any mission mission to kill him.

You sure it's Playboy's place?
His place has a roof-garden-type thing going on for it.
Roman also gets you a place in Algonquin on the east side.

Oh wait... its possible its Romans place he bought, forgot about that...

The only reason I thought it was playboys is because the GTA3 clothes are in the cupboard?

The GTA 3 clothes are in Playboy's safehouse. You'll know it's his place because of the widescreen TV set and pool table, plus outside on his balcony is a hot tub. Roman's place doesn't have that shit.

Hmmm... I dont remember a balcony, but I do remember a pool table, a laptop on the kitchen table, and a lift that exits the room and goes down to the bottom floor...

I'll have to check all this...

Funny you mention that about the extended warranty - I got the circuit city extended warranty for the exact same reason (take it back to the store directly) and had to go the gift card route when my damn 2nd one went tits up. was a bigger hassle than the one I just sent back to MS.

I wonder if they have any stats on hardware failures in the more recently manufactured ones vs. the first generation.

By the way, is the Comet just really rare or am I not driving where and when they tend to be found? I haven't seen one on the road the last 5 times I have played - anywhere.

The Comet, Infernus, and Sultan XS are all very rare spawns, especially the Infernus. Drive in a high-end car around Star Junction and you're more likely to see one. Driving in a specific car increases the spawn rate of cars of a similar category, and makes the car you're driving spawn more often than anything else on the road.

i find it's feast of famine when it comes to the rare sports cars. one thing i noticed was that when i call brucie up to do a race i'll see a rare car every other block on my way to the starting line; so if you really want one try starting a race.

so far the rarest car i've come across is the Sultan RS. think EVO/Impreza mashup and you'll get the idea. it makes an awesome pssssshhhh from the blow off valve each time you shift too :D it was just parked on the side of the road when i came across it and i nearly shit a brick. it was a nice midnight green/blue color. unfortunately i got cocky and died before i could take it to a safe house :(

Yes, typo on my part. The Sultan RS and Sentinel both look kind of like ricers, but the Infernus was modeled after a Lamborghini.

What makes the Comet such a great car is the fact that its engine is in the back, so you're less likely to critically damage it by smashing into shit. Not to mention its good acceleration, handling, and top speed.

You know if you link that up with the Rockstar Social Club and get 100% before May 19th, you get a limited edition "Key to the City"?

Back to the cars, is there a way you can keep a car at the safehouse for good? What I mean is, when you have a car parked at the safehouse and then you take it for a spin, if you don't take it back to the safehouse, it won't be there again. But is there a way to keep one there at all times, even if you crash it or lose it?
