You wonder why McCain will win?

“Beverly Hills Chihuahua” was barking up the right tree with movie-goers, who put the Disney comedy at No. 1 for the weekend with a $29 million debut, according to studio estimates Sunday."

After 2004 I refuse to even speculate on Presidential elections in this country. I had my faith in reason totally shattered. Were I a gambling man I'd still be destitute from that fiasco.

I bet the lives of a thousand more American soldiers that McCain will win, AND keep the war on for another 4 years.

I'm curious about how the debate is going to go - how McCain is going to address Obama in this "town hall" format.

On one hand, it wouldn't be very smart of him to actually attack Obama personally in the debates (that sort of thing works much better when you let your ads, your surrogates, your supporters, and your pitbull-running-mate handle the attacks, and you stay out of them).

On the other hand, somebody asked him at one of his appearances in the last couple of days, "When are you going to take the gloves off!?" He answered, "How about Tuesday?" As if the gloves weren't already off.

Maybe we'll see him explode on stage?

Will it be an actual debate this time or will the candidates be able to get away with responding to questions by offering off topic rhetorical talking points again?

PS what shmee said.

I bumped the other thread with the details.

It sounds like it will be less like a real debate than the last one.

It's seems that the "debates" in American politics are pretty much useless.

As for betting I'd wager about 1000 on Obama because honestly, Americans couldn't seriously be that stupid, could they? And I don't go for deficit spending.
The odds are currently 1.3 for Obama and 4.4 for McCain on Betfair. So you could earn $300 if you win .

Yea I checked out that site when I saw the guy on Olbermann's show. It's very good.

But seeing the projections for my state is severely depressing. :(

I'm just happy that Ohio is swinging Obama's way. 2000 and 2004 were embarrassing.

if it goes on 4 more years, I'm afraid the military death toll will be higher than that.
