How many jobs have you had?
Re: How many jobs have you had?
Yay I just got an e-mail from them saying things went well and they want me for a 3rd interview!

Re: How many jobs have you had?
lol I've had a variety of jobs but I'm happy I never had to deal with that, although working at a fisheries factory is no walk in the parkMat Linnett wrote: My second job was on a local building site working for John Laing Construction as a Chainman (a civil engineer's assistant). I can empathise with Geebs' loathing of concrete. I had hair down to the middle of my back back then, and the amount of concrete dust I got in it meant I could stand it on end. Concrete bogies aren't fun either.

edit: actualy that fisheries job was teh reason I went to college...
Re: How many jobs have you had?
Motivation ++
Re: How many jobs have you had?
Yeah I'm super pumped for this job, it'll be the first IT tech support job I have that actualy has a decent pay with vacation and benefits, something my family needs. I currently have benefits that I pay for out of pocket but I'd rather it be included with my job.

Re: How many jobs have you had?
What sort of benefits? Retirement, vacation, short-term disability, family medical leave, etc?
I'm curious (since you live in Canadia) as to what sort of benefits employers offer up there, and what sort they don't have to.

Re: How many jobs have you had?
Well medical benefits is what I'm referring to. The job does have Vacation benefits and probably somekind of retirement benefits but I don't have the specifics.
Benefits around here typicly include medical leaves, prescriptions, usualy like 80% of the costs are covered or more and various other medical benefits that our regular medicair doesn't cover like dental so getting coverage is important, especialy when you drink energy drinks like I do
and maybe you too if you've had your kid yet lol.

just taken something up. for a small work force it's £25k outlay and £5k a year to run without any hardware.U4EA wrote:Funnily enough, we're early in the process [demos and such] with Canon Australia, they're looking to replace their existing solution and have shortlisted a bunch of options.Doombrain wrote:service management software, interesting.
got any examples? this is something i've been looking into.
Ours is a fairly comprehensive package. Does the normal stuff like field service, depot repair, tech logistics etc. It's got dynamic scheduling and integrates with google maps, lots more. Dunno, I'm not a salesman.
Get your services manager to exercise their Google fu.
it's making a nice hole in my SGA, fucking lucrative software.

Hope you get the job, Kracus. A family man needs (deserves?) a steady income and security.

Re: How many jobs have you had?
ITIL is really targetted towards the IT industry, a lot of its specialized functionality wouldn't apply to other industries. Not sure what Doombrain is using it for but I imagine it'd be normal field service type stuff.

Not £3886, but $6500. I don't know many people who wouldn't be happy to get an extra $125 a week for the next 3 months before getting another increase.Doombrain wrote:£3886, lol.
