CHILLI RECIPE +WARNING
I know... I am in a food thread tonight.
I soaked my pinto beans all night and today.
I would like to make a real one this one.
Sorry, I wish it's not too late.
If you never really experience mexican food...
Don't abuse of them b'cause of the hot ingredients you might suffer of burnt and that is in your anus. Not sure how it spelled
Hemorroide.
If it Happens use the telephone shower, try to put them inside.
ps not the telephone shower.
Pete

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspon thyme leaves

2 cans tomato sauce
1 can diced tomatoes
2 tbsp crushed red pepper
2 tbsp cumin
1 chopped white onion
1 packet generic chili powder
2 cloves crushed garlic (heat in microwave 10 seconds before peeling, much easier)

put shredded cheddar cheese in the bottom of the bowl, chili on top, crush about 6-10 crackers into it, and stir thoroughly.
then get a kleenex and enjoy. :icon32:

true, I have a couple of recipes for all meat chilis. The cowboys did eat a lot of beans, though, in the early days of cowboys they didn't have chuckwagons, and their diet was really limited to what they could take with them that wouldn't spoil. They used to cook beans in a can inside a hole in the ground.

Holy fucking christ that sounds good. I think I will have to make some of that minus the peppers. Would a lager like killians work for the beer?R00k wrote:killer chili recipe:

Oh and I've never made chili. Do you just dump all that shit into a pot and let it cook for a few hours?

Yea, you just dump it all in together in a large pot and cook it around med-high for an hour or two. Unless you're using dry beans like ajerara said (but i'm assuming you're probably using cans), then you have to cook them first or at least put plenty of water in it.bitWISE wrote: Holy fucking christ that sounds good. Killians works pretty well actually for a weaker beer. I can't imagine why you'd want to leave out the peppers though!
