SPOILER DETECTED!
Re: Game of Thrones teaser
No spoiler there. Who doesn't feel sorry for midgets?
Re: Game of Thrones teaser
k this show better pick up speed cause I'm this close to raging. there's like 50 minutes of passive garbage and then 5 minutes of the strongest scene they can muster right before the end of each episode. Honestly, not even LOST was this much of a fag fest.
Re: Game of Thrones teaser
It seems to me like they are faithfully following the book in great detail and books are exactly loaded with intensity every few pages. I'm enjoying it but I do wish they would go back north of the wall already. I'm holding out hope that this winter is going to be seriously epic.
Re: Game of Thrones teaser
Watched episode 3. It is indeed getting lots better.
Re: Game of Thrones teaser
right, im gonna stop watching the series till after i've finished reading the books.
oddly 5 copies of book 1 arrived at work yesterday. great since i only looked it up today. heh also, gotta love staff discount, the one and only perk of working in a bookshop.

Re: Game of Thrones teaser
I'm wondering about something.
I learned today that the TV series is based on the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series of books and that only the first book is called "A Game of Thrones". Is the TV series based on only the first book or the entire "song of ice and fire" series?

So you watched the opening credits then eh?

Re: Game of Thrones teaser
god even the book title sounds faggyEraser wrote:"A Song of Ice and Fire"
Re: Game of Thrones teaser
My friend suggested that it should have been the title for the show but I think it's too wordy. Game of Thrones works well. Or even Westeros would have been good.
Re: Game of Thrones teaser
westeros would have been a poor title since people unfamiliar with the books would not have known what it meant
also, faggy

Re: Game of Thrones teaser
Hey, at what day does this air on HBO? Actually, what I mean to ask is when can I expect a torrent for episode 5?

Re: Game of Thrones teaser
k finally, something gives and they had a good episode! that's how it should be! The story is good, but without some action I might as well be watching Bold and the Beautiful.
Re: Game of Thrones teaser
Heh, I felt exactly the same after watching episodes one and two. But as the whole conspiring against the king story arc is progressing I find it more and more interesting to watch. Some more action would be good thing though, especially if it replaces these continuous filler scenes. I mean every single scene that had nudity in it was completely and utterly unimportant to the whole story and it really starts to feel like the producers put the nudity in there so they can say "Look at us! We're Hollywood and we can actually show titties on television so we're going to because we can and that makes us cool!"
The most blatant example of this is Ned's friend staring at the hooker's tits in the whorehouse. Why was that? So they could show some more titties? The dude gets stabbed in the eye 2 minutes after that anyway (<== spoiler).

Re: Game of Thrones teaser
Well, that scene wasn't entirely useless. Ned was inquiring about the last person who spoke with the former hand of the King. And they were in a brothel afterall, there should be tits...
