Soulcalibur 2 HD Online

Soulcalibur 2 is coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as an HD Remaster. Titled Soulcalibur 2 HD Online, the game is slated for release this fall on Xbox Live and PSN. During Namco Bandai’s panel at Comic-Con, where they announced the game, Namco also showed that Heihachi from Tekken will be in the game.
That's the guy who fights without any weapons.

Is that Heihachi character the special character from the PS2 version of the original? i know the XBox version had Spawn and the GameCube version had Link.

It was interesting to see how Namco completely killed the momentum of the Soul Calibur series.

Soul Calibur 2 had so much hype and people were so excited about it. Then Namco released Soul Calibur 3 as some stupid ps2 exclusive with custom creatable characters (completely dilutes in game characters.) And the series hasn't been the same since.

Soul Calibur 3: Arcade Edition (arcade only) was good.

I don't think the custom character creation did the series much harm, I think the redesign of the characters was weak and not making it an arcade game meant it suffered from consoleitis*.

*where the great gameplay you get in a game designed for arcade is lost as it's made slow and easy for the console crowd.

Welcome back Chupacabra :)

Thanks for the video & link DTS.
Just thinking, well remembering just how old that company is. I did a little reading up
Nakamura Manufacturing was reorganized in 1958 and later underwent a name change to Nakamura Amusement Machine Manufacturing Company, which would be used to form the acronym "NAMCO."
