I absolutely love that you marked item placement in the top down. Very good idea!
There is one thing with CTF map layouts that you should keep in mind. The most popular CTF levels have a center area that can be controlled by the better team. having 3 separate hallways may work ok technically but in practice both teams lose the ability to predict where the enemy is coming from as well as turns center, where all the biggest fighting should take place, into a random mess. Its visually beautiful map though.
This is a great map to turn into a ctf map. I love your DM version of it. It's nice to see somebody remaking the Dreamcast ss maps. There used to be an ss mappack floating around back during the 1.16n point release days, but none of them had any skybox ... you'd get that mirror effect when you looked up if you didn't set r_fastsky "0". I always wished somebody would remake that mappack ... old school players would download the hell out of it. I'd play the hell out of dc_ss402 and dc_ss406 ... dc_ss406 would make a badass ctf map.
@Castle: Yes the "center" is a little bit spread, but you can control all 3 ways from the GL balkony. With a little bit of teamwork/communication it should be possible to intercept a flag carrier.
@v1l3: dc_ss402 and dc_ss404 is already on my todo list.
