nope, but how can an arbitrary server know that my cdkey is cracked? Anyway, it just happened on yet another server. :icon33: What does 'nonstandard characters' mean in the first place? If you keep away from anything alt+? and just use the stuff on the keyboard you're safe. But I didnt do anything....

Yes, that's exactly what I was talking about... it's easier to get ~550 ups in two jumps than 590-600. I'm still not clear about what I asked though... are these 'easier' settings used in LAN tournaments?

You need pmove_fixed 1 OR fps 140 on LAN/offline. Guess you didn't notice the beggining of the thread. :p Oh that's news, and a big relief too :icon25:... I can do it almost everytime with pmove_fixed 1. One more doubt on the same topic... the value of pmove_fixed is different for LAN and internet ...

Yeah, even i have capped it to 125, and it does show 125 fps most of the time .. though I dont know if it stays over 125 on all maps. I think the problem with losing health is not related to the card, then .. must be some var in my config :shrug:

no, no .. as julios said, these guys were just walking off the platform, and landing with maybe 0 horiz. vel. anyway, it's not fair :icon23: , with we poor students losing health when we fall while pros with high end graphics cards dont. :icon25:

yeah, you dont really need it, except for maybe the chat binds. however, check out

if you're playing osp, add cg_autoaction 21 to your config (check the osp client readme in your quake3\osp\docs folder for more info). This will record a demo, with proper naming convention, automatically, for each match that you play.

I've seen them in a few quake movies (probably lyon connection, though i'm not totally sure). One example was when, in prodm6, a guy at the rail rolled his gauntlet and the enemy at the plasma got pummeled. Nice jump there, Bacon. sv_fps 125 and g_sync 1 are defrag settings. Can you make the jump with sv_fps 30 and g_Sync off? Why cheat, cheater? Sorry, I should've clarified, that's what I meant. Cheat? sv_fps 30 is used for quakecon matches, and we usually play with g_sync 0. Which is why i asked.

From what I gather, that's a ninja script. For easy completion of difficult rocketjumps like from flag to the side window on q3ctf2. Can you jump from the flag directly to the window...i think you have to jump out till the nearest wall, and then bounce off that with a rocket. Anyway, I was playing ...
