I was skeptical, but by just installing these drivers I gained 8-10 FPS in the ggl-timedemo.

Looks very nice, but is it just me or is the scale slightly off? Its just you. Scale is 1:1 from Quake 3 (I know because A) I have texture wit hgrids on them to help me and B) I have decompiled the original map JUST for scales). It may look odd, it may be the view height difference, but its all 1:1...

Also, when I run that ggl timedemo it says invalid token or something. I can only timedemo regular demos, not netdemos. How are you guys doing the timedemo with that demo file? I dont recall the exact error I was getting, but it wouldn't allow me to play that demo until I renamed it, removing the h...

if u had a 3200 6800gt with 1gb of good ram is stuck on 60... pentium? rofl... I'm not saying you need a Pentium CPU (I use an AMD CPU as my first post in this thread states) I said something at least as fast as the specs the CPL are using. I personally prefer AMD but I'd sure take a high end Intel...

Yeah I have a very hard time believing some of the people who have posted are getting a constant 60 FPS in situations such as a 10 person FFA Deathmatch, even at 800x600 Low Quality.

P4 2.4b, 1024 PC2700, x800XL and I dont get anything close to 60 FPS unless I'm staring at a corner.

These drivers help a lot. Without them, obviously, turning on OpenAL lags your system to high hell. Installation of these drivers allow for OpenAL to be turned on without an FPS hit and provides more positional audio.

33.82 fps :confused:

If I go back to default config and put it on 1280x with High Quality I get 31.74 fps. Something is awry...

I've heard Start -> Run -> "cmd" :: Enter

Once the cmd prompt is up, Alt-Enter, then Alt-Enter again.

All the servers I've played on have had the pm_bob commands protected...as in unable to be switched off. It may work in single player, but as of now it doesnt seem to be optional in multi.

Edit: And to help the thread, add +disconnect to your cmd line to disable the intro movies.
