GTi - doesn't have to stand for anything, but if you wanted it to, it could be "Game Type innovation" (although, copying old mods isn't very innovative). Or "insurgency", which means pretty much the same as "revolution" in a political sense. =)

Well, I've installed it, anyway, and it's good enough to try the maps out. I think Double Edged could be OK, actually. I don't like the look of Mind the Gap, though.

More stats can and will be added to the q4max XML stats - such as the flag carrying stats and powerup stats. What about the kill events do you want from the logs that arent in the stats? With regard to the kill events, the stuff I'm after are the sort of things that are available by parsing logfile...

Did anything ever come of this? Not one single person has written a log parser to at least get some basic stats going? Or are the logs just to fubar? The console logs are rubbish. They only have information about who killed whom. A CTF log, for example, doesn't even have things like "Player go...

Wise people don't backup all the paks but just the quake4.exe and q4ded.exe (or whatever it's called). :p I made a complete copy so that I could continue to play on 1.0.4/1.0.5 servers running Q4Max/XBattle/RA4 as well as new 1.1 servers. I don't think you can do that without making a new copy, can...

Wise people (with enough disk space) just made a copy of the Quake 4 folder, and upgraded the copy to 1.1 while keeping the old one at 1.0.4. Hurrah. I'll be trying RA4 later. \o/

I think it's prudent that they only be uploaded once they have been repackaged and re-released as AddOn PK4s, otherwise people are going to get confused about which version of maps to download etc.

I wish it were true, but that's hearsay. Proof? Well, that IP (192.246.40.231:28004) from that id beta server is located in Dallas, Texas while id software's headquarters is in Mesquite Texas (12 miles away from Dallas). That could mean something. :) Edit: id's own servers are in the range 192.246....
