Can rgoer or someone in the know comment on any potential issues with running this higher than stock?
Also is there any reason why the ping readout in game is so unstable?

er... and by higher you mean lower right?
lower = better server response, more intense on the hardware & bandwidth
higher = crap
I'm running mine at 30 i think the default was 80... performance got so much better when i set it to 30. + pings went down
too low though and the server started to choke and the pings read 0 at all times
...at least thats what i found.

perhaps its dynamicly scales?
the longer the delay, the large the snapshot so there for smaller delay = a more even and steady flow ?
