I just bought a Toshiba 42HL196 which stated that it was 1080p as well. It didn't accept a 1080p signal just converted it to 1080p I so I returned it. This one might be the same.

Normal ratio is 1:1-3:1. The old limit used to be 6:1 but they just lowered it to 4:1. So he was over 4:1.

Well, it's running Linux, but yeah you just plug it into a router/switch/hub and it's accessible from any computer on your network. Plus you can forward ports and use it's FTP server from anywhere external.

Sure, but that's kind of a silly use for it. I'm using it to weekly backup 3 desktops + 1 laptop + my website and databases. I will also store my photos/music/videos on it.
