Anyone know, if I give HL2/Ep1 to someone as a gift, is there any point to giving him the actual discs associated with it? From reading the FAQ, he'll be able to accept my gifts and start downloading the game, but would he also ever be able to install the game(s) off the discs instead? Slow internet...

yea, that always bugged me about D3...where are the arachnotrons?! I didn't like how they changed the Barons of Hell model so much (removing the horns, etc.)

After recently installing Quake II again off of my Quake 4 Bonus disc, the game runs and looks fine after upping the resolution, but I can't seem to get the HUD to show up. I don't see an option anywhere in the game menu.

Am I missing something?

meh, I'm still waiting mainly for HL2E2, finally beat hl2 and ep1 a few weeks ago. I still don't know what to think about Bioshock. It won't run on this laptop, and I really don't want to buy games for our 360 since don't own it.
